A-Z in Europe

During our night in Tokyo and then again on our flight into London, Adam and I took a few minutes to really think about some things we were looking forward to in these six months in Europe. Here are some things we came up with:

Jessica’s Euro trip alphabet:

Airports and the anticipation of arrival
Barcelona
Climbing hills to see the view
Dogs– big ones
Eating exceptional ethnic foods
Freedom to follow the wind
Greeting God in Gothic cathedrals
Hunting out hidden treasures
Istanbul with Serife and Abdullah
Joking with new friends over dinner
Kissing Adam in a park
Learning to love more deeply
Making magnificent music with magical musicians
Nesting in new places
Opera in Germany, Austria or Prague
Provincial little country towns
Quiet places
Reading and resting
Singing in echoey stairwells
Taking time to absorb my surroundings
Understanding people a little better
Visiting historical places
Walking, walking, walking
Xploring back alleys
Yawning over morning tea and crepes
Zzzz-ing the afternoon away in a park

Adam’s Euro trip alphabet:

Ambling down Amsterdam alleyways
Berlin’ s booming art and club scenes
Cafes, cafes, cafes
Dreaming up the next chapter of our life
Enlightening conversations with new friends
Finding intense beauty in the smallest of details
Getting lost and finding our way out again
Hanging out in Hungary
Interesting new ideas and books
Jumping for joy to live music
Kind couchsurfing comrades
Looking at new lives we could live
Mondays we don’t dread
No agendas
Opening our hearts and minds even more fully
Pursuing regular practice of healthy living and eating habits
Quiet contemplation of quality questions
Roads less traveled by
Supping in ancient country pubs
Taking naps when and where we like
Using our unique talents to express beauty and improve the lives of others
Vacationing from our vacation on occasion
Waking up in unexpected places
Xhilarating days at the beach
Yes, yes, yes to life
Zooming down windy country roads on a motorbike
