Mic check, one, two

Good morning, world. This here’s my inaugural blog post in myspace-land. I hope this finds you well, and very well. Today is a new day, a good day in my life. I am alive and I have made it through yet another of life’s periodic, inner storms. The air after the rain passes is fresh and quietly electric, and that is something like the atmosphere in my mind this morning. I am beginning again, again. I am going to give a go at thinking less and loving more, concerning myself less with excellence and perfection and more with honesty and authenticity.
I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes, one from John Wimber:
“If there is anything that characterizes Christian maturity, it is the willingness to become a beginner again for Jesus Christ. It is the willingness to put your hand in his hand and say, ‘I’m scared to death, but I’ll go with you. You’re the Pearl of great price.’”
It’s a good day to start a new blog. Amen.
